When we first came across Enigmatic Boys, the name of the site didn't quite make sense, that is until we looked up the word "enigmatic" in the dictionary - it provided a few meanings ?resembling an enigma; perplexing; mysterious. The name makes a lot more sense when you actually take the tour and see these absolutely stunning 18 year old boys, many of them have a mysterious look about them - one could easily get lost just by simply gazing into any of the models eyes (it happened to me quite a few times while writing this review). The point that we are trying to convey is that fact that these teenage boys from Europe and the Mediterranean are some of the most beautiful boys that you will lay eyes on for a very long time - they are further enhanced by the stunning artistic and photographic quality of the photos. Each of these models, who are 100% exclusive to Enigmatic Boys, have at least one photo set consisting of about 200 high resolution images - and by high resolution we mean 1600x1200 FULL SCREEN photos for many of the newer sets. Even the older sets are available at resolutions of 1024x768 - 1280x960+ - For those with smaller more antiquated monitors or those who simply don't like to scroll when viewing the photos, there is an option to shrink the photos to a size that will fit on your screen (generally somewhere between 800x600 to 1024x768). Every week Enigmatic Boys�adds a brand new photo set which members can download in ZIP format. Non-members can enjoy a preview consisting of 8 G-Rated and 4 X-Rated photos for each of the photo sets. That's at least 1200 FREE sample photos!

One thing that we would like to see more in terms of the photo sets are more duos and hardcore action. The reason why we say this is because literally 95% of the content found at Enigmatic Boys are Solo jerk-off sessions. Before the site launched in March 2005, they primarily specialized in photography for sites such as BoyStation - many of those photo sets with models such as Leon, Hen or Sander were strictly Solo action sets. Since the site has been operating, they now do photo shoots for both their site and others as requested. Though we must stress the fact that any content found at Enigmatic Boys cannot be found anywhere else - if a shoot is done for another site it is NOT posted anywhere else except at that site. We can honestly say that with the exception of about five or so models, you will not find any of the models featured at Enigmatic Boys anywhere else. Another factor that is probably influencing the ratio of Solo vs Duo sets are the models themselves. Remember many of them are just 18 years old, some with previous sexual experience, but most are amateurs with little to no previous experience doing hardcore shoots. Each model has their own comfort zone and many at 18 years of age may not be comfortable going beyond Solo jerk-off sessions until they are a bit older or have gained more experience in the adult entertainment industry. (I can say this because I have first hand experience being a model doing black and white artistic photo shoots back when I was 18 - now that I'm a bit older, I'm much more comfortable with the whole gay porn scene). We feel in time as Enigmatic Boys grows and evolves that we will begin to see more hardcore, yet artistic, action sets. Remember folks, Enigmatic Boys is about showing you the most stunning teenage boys and the beauty of the young male form.

Now lets talk about the videos - in terms of pluses, the videos are extremely high quality, they can be played with either DivX or Windows Media Player at 1400 Kbps and 1900 Kbps respectively. Each clip is part of a larger video and is divided into three or four equal parts ranging in size from 20 to 135 MB each. One of the draw backs with the videos is the fact that each part of one full scene is posted on a weekly basis - that means that members may wait as long as 4 weeks before they can complete the set. We'd really like to see the entire set posted each week along with a full version for those with broadband connections. Overall though, Enigmatic Boys did earn decent points for their video content seeing as the quality of the clips are some of the best on the 'net. Very few sites have video content with bit rates well exceeding 1000 Kbps.... again this is an area that we are sure will continue to grow and evolve as the site matures.
